DID YOU KNOW?

10% of the monies received in Sunday Offerings is donated to Methodist and other charities.

10% of the money raised by our redevelopment fundraising events is donated to charitable causes.  In the year ending 31 August 2011 we are dividing the money raised between the Bridgewater Youth Bus project, Christians Against Poverty, Warrington Young Carers and the Methodist Relief and Development Fund.

The Church has agreed to pro-actively support the following charities - each of which will have its own page on our web-site:
  • Active Hope - This is a Christian charity based in Warrington, which is committed to providing quality outdoor and adventurous activities from well qualified and enthusiastic instructors to children and young people from across the area.
  • Christians against Poverty (CAP) - This is a national debt counselling charity working through a network of centres based in local churches. CAP offers hope and a solution to anyone in debt through its unique, in-depth service.
In addition we are supporting a Methodist Relief and Development overseas project

But we don't just raise money: members and others connected to this Church are involved in many areas of voluntary work. Here are a few examples:

  • Talking Newspapers

  • Christian Aid

  • Action for Children (previously NCH)

  • RNLI

  • YMCA

  • Officials in charitable trusts
